Mobil Glygoyle ™ 11, 22, and 30 oils are high performance polyalkylene glycol (PAG) based oils that provide excellent lubrication in extreme temperature gear, bearing and circulation system applications operating under conditions well beyond the capabilities of mineral oils. They have shear-stable properties and show superior resistance to thermal degradation, oxidation, and sludge and deposit formation. They contain a special additive package that will improve extreme pressure (EP) and wear protection, corrosion and rust protection and provide foaming resistance, without compromising the inherent properties of PAG oils.

Mobil Glygoyle 11,22,30 oils have a very high viscosity index and have very low pour points since they do not contain paraffin. Friction and attraction coefficients (eg at incompatible gear or bearing contact points) are lower than mineral oils. These outstanding lubricating properties help reduce operating temperatures in many applications.

Mobil Glygoyle 11, 22, and 30 oils have provided superior performance in the most demanding industrial applications for more than 25 years. Mobil Glygoyle products are primarily designed to meet the critical high temperature requirements of a variety of industrial equipment, where mineral and other synthetic oils may not perform satisfactorily. Usage places

Mobil Glygoyle oils are recommended for the most severe conditions in all types of plain and anti-friction bearings and industrial enclosed gears up to 200 ° C bulk oil temperature. Special applications include:

     • Difficult plastic calender applications

     High temperature paper machine bearings

     Industrial enclosed gears - spur gears, bevel gears and worm gears

     Reciprocating and rotary air, natural gas, CO2 and other process gases

Application Information

Polyalkylene glycol (PAG) based oils have some excellent lubricating properties inherent in PAG base oils. However, PAG-based oils have some limitations in terms of compatibility with sealing elements and surfactants, some light metal alloys and other lubricants. Before using any PAG oil, contact the equipment manufacturer for specific application recommendations.

Compatibility with other oils

Mobil Glygoyle 11, 22 and 30 are not compatible with other mineral oils and most synthetic oils. In addition; Depending on the type of PAG base fluid, they may not be compatible with other PAG type oils (eg Mobil Glygoyle 11, 22 and 30 and Mobil Glygoyle ISO VG series should not be mixed). Mobil Glygoyle 11, 22 and 30 are generally not recommended for use in systems previously filled with mineral oil or PAO-based synthetic oils. It is also recommended to check compatibility when supplementing or replacing currently PAG filled systems with Mobil Glygoyle products. Usually recommended; to avoid mixing of products by draining, washing and refilling. When changing from mineral oil or other synthetic products to Mobil Glygoyle products, it is critical to thoroughly clean the system and flush with suitable fluids prior to conversion. Mobil Glygoyle Series oils are hygroscopic (hygroscopic) like all other PAG based lubricants and have higher water absorption properties than mineral oils or synthetic hydrocarbons. Therefore, care should be taken not to leave PAG oils in excessively humid environments. Due to its inherent high specific gravity feature, water does not settle down and remains in the top layer of the oil.

Seal compatibility

PAG based oils are not compatible with most standard sealing materials used in mineral oils or synthetic hydrocarbons. Incompatible materials will likely shrink or swell, causing oil leakage or gasket failure.
